Chemistry, Earth science educational materials

A chemistry education unit focusing on gas laws and a pre-service teacher classroom observation activity are now on-line at .

Metro Nashville Public Schools teacher Wayne Birch completed the chemistry unit using material developed by 2014 Geoenvironmental Challenges participants Kimberly Gravewood, Bethany Westerhoff, Euvellise Nicole Jusino, and An Nguyen.

In the pre-service teacher classroom observation activity, future STEM teachers use the Reformed Teaching Observation Protocol (RTOP) to describe the student experience in an active learning Earth science classroom.  Educational materials used in the classroom are based in part on “Voyage Through Time” by Larry and Sheryl Braile.
