Geology of North America as illustrated by Native American Stories uses the rock cycle and plate tectonics as the weft and sacred stories of ancient Americans as the warp to weave a complete geologic, geographic, and environmental description and explanation of the plains and mountains of North America to a wide range of audiences and age levels.

This illustrated 27-page essay provides demonstrations and analogies that are easily adapted to a wide range of learners. This book showcases story telling as an effective teaching strategy to achieve current national science learning outcomes and to differentiate instruction among all modalities of learners in the classroom.
